At the mouth of the Douro River there is a little fishing village called Afurada, that maintains its charms. With only a few thousand residents and very few tourists, its residents hang out their windows chatting to their neighbors, and at lunch the fish restaurants grill their fare on the street.
You will visit the tiled houses, watch as the fishermen sew their fishing nets, the community tank where the women gather around and enjoy a delicious grilled fish caught that very same day.
A well spent day in a typical fishing village!
